# Creating giveaways

> Drop tokens, NFTs, points, and other rewards in any Discord server.

## Overview

Use `/drop` in a server channel to create a giveaway. People enter the giveaway by interacting with its message.
For immediate transfers to selected users, use [/send](https://docs.flipsuite.xyz/flippy/commands/send.md) command.

## Commands

Available `/drop` commands:

* `/drop token` - Drop tokens from your balance to one or more users.
* `/drop points` - Drop community points to one or more users.
* `/drop credits` - Drop account credits to one or more users.
* `/drop nft` - Raffle NFTs from your balance to a single winner.
* `/drop voucher` - Raffle vouchers from your inventory to a single winner.
* `/drop role` - Create giveaway for a Discord role from your server (requires perms)
* `/drop custom` - Create giveaway for a custom, manually granted reward (requires perms)

> **Common command arguments**
>
> **countdown** `string` (default: 5 minutes)
>
> Time to enter before the giveaway ends, such as `30 seconds`, `5m`, or `1h`.
>
> **max-enters** `number` (default: 50)
>
> Maximum entries, up to 1000.
>
> **max-winners** `number`
>
> Maximum winners, no greater than `max-enters`.
> Defaults to `max-enters`, except NFTs and vouchers which require only one winner.
>
> **allowed-users** `string`
>
> Users or roles allowed to enter.
>
> **forbidden-users** `string`
>
> Users or roles forbidden from entering.
>
> **entrant-remove-roles** `string`
>
> Roles to remove from entrants (requires server admin permissions).
>
> **winner-remove-roles** `string`
>
> Roles to remove from winners (requires server admin permissions).
>
> **note** `string`
>
> Note displayed on the giveaway message.
>
> **is-anonymous** `boolean` (default: false)
>
> Hide your name on the giveaway message.

### /drop token

> **Token command arguments**
>
> **token** `string` *required*
>
> Token from your balance that you want to drop.
>
> **amount** `string` *required*
>
> Token amount to drop. You can use "%" and "\$" for relative amounts.
>
> **is-amount-per-winner** `boolean` (default: false)
>
> If true, specified token amount will go to each giveaway winner instead of being split among them.

### /drop points

> **Points command arguments**
>
> **points** `string` *required*
>
> Points from your balance that you want to drop.
>
> **amount** `string` *required*
>
> Points amount to drop. You can use "%" for relative amounts.
>
> **is-amount-per-winner** `boolean` (default: false)
>
> If true, specified points amount will go to each giveaway winner instead of being split among them.
>
> **is-print** `boolean` (default: false)
>
> If true, points will be printed (increasing total supply), instead of being dropped from your balance (requires server permissions).

### /drop credits

> **Credits command arguments**
>
> **amount** `string` *required*
>
> Credits amount to drop. You can use "%" for relative amounts.
>
> **is-amount-per-winner** `boolean` (default: false)
>
> If true, specified credits amount will go to each giveaway winner instead of being split among them.

### /drop nft

> **NFT command arguments**
>
> **chain** `string` *required*
>
> Chain the NFT you want to drop is from.
>
> **nft** `string` *required*
>
> NFT from your balance you want to drop.
>
> **amount** `number` (default: 1)
>
> NFT amount to drop. Applies only to semi-fungible NFTs.

### /drop voucher

> **Custom command arguments**
>
> **product** `string` *required*
>
> Voucher product that you want to drop. Only Mullet Club membership vouchers are supported.
>
> **is-yearly** `boolean` (default: false)
>
> If set to true, a yearly voucher will be dropped. If omitted, a monthly voucher will be selected.

### /drop role

> **Role command arguments**
>
> **role** `string` *required*
>
> Role from your server you want to drop. Flippy's role must be above this role in server's role hierarchy for
> the drop to succeed.
>
> **duration** `string`
>
> Duration of the role, such as `30 days`. Role will be granted permanently if omitted.

### /drop custom

> **Custom command arguments**
>
> **prize** `string` *required*
>
> Description of the prize you want to drop.

## Repeating giveaways

Tokens, points, credits, roles, and custom rewards support repetitions. Set **repeat-count** to the total number
of giveaways, including the first, then choose one timing option:

* **repeat-interval**: time between giveaway starts, such as `1h` or `7 days`.
* **repeat-delay**: time after each giveaway ends before the next starts.

For example, to run a giveaway every day with an 8 hour long entry window for a week,
set command parameters to `repeat-count:7`, `countdown:8h`, and `repeat-interval:24h`.

## Cancelling giveaways

Use `/cancel drop` command and select a giveaway to cancel it and its future repetitions.
