Setup
Learn how to use Gen AI in your server.
Complete setup guide in Discord
The Gen module has its own interactive guide in your control panel in Discord. Simply go to your control panel, click the “set up modules” button and choose gen in the dropdown.
It will open the Gen setup guide like in the image below:

The first step is to create a public Gen dashboard in your server. It isn’t required, but it makes it easier for your community members to access the Gen menu. If you click the “create channel” button, it will spawn a new public channel in the Flipsuite category:

A Gen menu containing multiple shortcut buttons will be created there:

We’ll get back to it later. Now you’ll be asked to choose a channel where people in your server will be able to share their creations:

Make sure that a channel you select has a correct permissions set, so Flipsuite can send messages there:
- View Channel
- Send Messages
- Embed Links
- Attach Files
- Read Message History
Next step is selecting who can share their gens in your server. By default, everyone in your server can share their creations to a channel you’ve selected in the previous step.
Setting who can share their gens
If you wish to play guess the prompt or launch a reaction event in your server you need to choose channels where these activities can be started, and roles that can start them.
