Usage
Learn how to generate images using gen.
Configuring your prompt settings
You can configure your prompt settings either by going to the public gen dashboard or by opening a gen menu using
the /gen-menu
command.
Gen menu
To open your prompt settings, simply click the “settings” button.
Prompt settings
You can tweak the following prompt settings:
-
Model used for image generation
Model that should be used for generation. Various models produce different results. We recommend trying all of them and choosing the one you like the most!
-
Guidance scale
Increasing the guidance scale (CFG) makes the AI follow its instructions more closely, leading to more accurate results, but it might be less creative. Decreasing the scale allows for more creativity and variation, but the results might be less precise.
-
Inference steps
Increasing the steps can boost the precision and quality but can take longer to generate an image. Decreasing the steps can make the process faster but might result in less detailed or lower quality output.
-
Aspect ratio
Choose the width-to-height ratio that will be used for the generated image.
-
Seed
If you use the same seed, prompt and settings, you can get the same image every time. By generating a random seed, each generation will be unique.
Generating images using /gen
Once you set your prompt settings, you can start generating the images now using the /gen
command!

Once you generate your image, you can share it in one of the available channels (if you have permission to share), edit it, or save it to your gallery.
If you’re not satisfied with your image and want to give it another try, you can click the 🔄
button to generate a
different image using the same prompt.
When sharing your gen, others can add reactions to it, view the prompt and settings used to generate it, and start it if they like it - which will save the image to their personal gallery.
Shared gen
You can access your personal gen gallery using the /gen-menu
command.
