If your community runs more than one point system, you can define exchange rates between them in the Conversions tab. This lets users swap one point balance for another using the rates you configure, adding relative value to each point system.

How exchange rates work

Each exchange rate connects a single source point system to a different target point system. Conversion rate defines how many target points are printed for a single source point. Examples:
  • If the rate from Silver to Gold is 0.01, then converting 100 Silver yields 1 Gold.
  • If the rate from Gems to Credits is 5, then converting 1 Gems yields 5 Credits.

Add an exchange rate

  1. Open the point system you want to create exchange rates for.
  2. Go to the Conversions tab.
  3. Click Add exchange rate.
  4. Select the source and target point systems.
  5. Enter the desired exchange rate.
  6. Save it.

Planning your economy

Conversions are useful when you want to separate different parts of your economy, such as:
  • Converting a broad activity currency into a more limited redemption currency.
  • Running multiple currencies with different earning and spending patterns.
  • Make one currency upgradable to another.
